Young Professionals play a pivotal role in enhancing the mission of the American Cancer Society in every state and in every community across the country. We're here to save lives and help you fulfill yours through meaningful volunteer experiences, networking opportunities, fundraising events, mission programs and more - helping you find your passion and make a tangible difference so we can save lives and diminish suffering from cancer.

Thanks in part to our efforts, there has been a 23% decline in the cancer death rate over the past 21 years. That’s 1.7 million deaths prevented and more than 11 million cancer survivors alive today. In fact today, more of us are surviving cancer than dying from it. Yet, today, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will get cancer in their lifetimes. The American Cancer Society wants to drive cancer into insignificance. And volunteers like you make that possible.

The American Cancer Society's Young Professional Groups are your link to the Society after graduation. Whether you find yourself in your hometown, or a brand new city, the American Cancer Society is there. Young Professional groups provide a network of new friends and connections who share your passion for eradicating cancer through fundraising, advocacy, volunteering, and urban Relay events. We currently offer membership in two forms:
